Etsy Shop Giveaway!

I think I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit.

After my first baby was born and I was a stay at home mom I needed to find a creative outlet, something I could do for myself.  I took up tole painting.  My mom was so generous and volunteered to watch her darling grandson so I could take classes.

I began getting lots of compliments on the things I was painting and I realized maybe there was a market out there for hand painted items.  There were lots of women who didn’t have time or didn’t think they  had the ability so I began painting and selling my creations at local bazaars.

When I began my blog, Your Homebased Mom, several years ago, I began sharing some of the things I had with my blog readers. I quickly realized that once again there was a market out there for pretty, handmade items.

I had been promoting and highlighting various handmade, homemade business over at Your Homebased Mom as well as on another blog,  iLashGirls,  and we had discovered Etsy.  Etsy is really an online craft bazaar – a place to sell all things handmade!  I loved promoting Etsy shops and shopping with Etsy shops so I decided I  should  join the ranks and open my very own Etsy shop!   Etsy is a wonderful place for women who have an idea for something to begin promoting and selling their wares.

Today Your Homebased Mom Etsy Shop is sponsoring a giveaway here at Find Your Sock Yarn. You can win this pretty reusable grocery bag!

By just leaving a comment you have the opportunity to win one of my pretty, handmade reusable grocery bags!  Why use a boring, plain grocery bag when you can have a pretty one!

So leave a comment below and for an extra entry share the giveaway on your Facebook page and/or blog.  You can get a 4th entry by subscribing via email or your rss reader to our new blog.  Just leave another comment to let us know – that’s a total of 4 ways to win!

We are excited about our first official giveaway here at FYSY!  Share it with your friends.

Love-love-love the bag. One of my favorite quotes is, “Have nothing in your home that is not beautiful or useful.” Imagine that – your bag is both!

I’m a sucker for anything beautiful, creatively and thoughtfully made, and good to the earth (i.e. reusable). I sure hope it gets into the hands of someone who will use it often for grocery shopping, library hopping, task toting, or whatever other needs it could help out with. I’d be honored to be that person, but just hope it gets lots of use and love!
